FDP Apology

The Staff at the FDP apologizes for the Blog seemingly disappearing...We initially misplaced passwords and now that it has been relocated please stay tuned for new posts!

  • Misplacing a password for close to two months? That's not just a weak excuse, but it says nothing about why the Chairman has had nothing to say in the same amount of time. What is he being paid to do if he was unwilling to step aside until after session.

There has not been a single word about the legislative session, the Terri Schiavo case, the Bankruptcy Bill (I remember his famous line about Democrats are for "Main Street while the GOP is for "Wall Street"), the Dyer exhoneration, the recent murders of two little girls by convicted sex offenders, or for that matter Tom Delay.

I agree with those who seem to feel that Maddox is doing a lousy job right now. The real apology should be coming from our Chairman, not his underlings. Perhaps the man who would seek to lead Florida by running for statewide office should demonstrate some leadership before he exits the door.

  • I agree with Jack about who should be apologizing. The FDP has wasted five valuable months waiting for the Chair to do whatever it is he is going to do.

  • I just moved here from Ohio, where our Chair recently made a commitment to develop and field Democratic Candidates.

I don't know about these other issues but if the Chair can't recruit and train candidates to beat republicans, then what is he there to do?

Google Ohio Democratic Party, and read the comments about the 2005 field plan by Dennis White. Considering what a republican leaning state Ohio and Florida both are, why isn't there a field plan in place?

  • Democrats can be like carbon monoxide for Republicans: just because you can't see them or smell them, they can still be deadly.

I don't know what Chairman Maddox is doing, but frankly Howard Dean hasn't said anything much either, but people can feel, the mood is changing. Sometimes, silence speaks louder than words.

Mind you, I am troubled too that with all the legislation being passed, that there has not been more said in the press from party representatives. But then again, sometimes the most dangerous targets fly off the radar.
